Jokes from Planet Nightmare- Teddy Bears

« October 31, 2009 »

Nocturnal Teddy Bear Visitation from Emmett Montgomery on Vimeo.
Occasionally people ask me where I get my jokes from. I don’t really have an answer. The most plausible explanation is that there must be some strange planet out there sending me signals from space. “Joke from Planet Nightmare” is a work in progress based on this idea. This would be one of those signals. My good friend Chas Roberts made this video staring the much loved teddy bear with spider legs using my words and drawings.

arts and crafts party- part two- puppets

« October 21, 2009 »

img_1404 As my paint stained hands clutch the scissors I try to ignore the stare of their dead paper eyes as I cut them free. The smell of glue is in the air as I attach them, front and back, to the bag that will be their home. The only thing missing in their lives is the  hand of a stranger that will make them dance and live and love.

img_1420 In addition to t-shirts I have been making puppets all weekend. I plan on doing a run of five of each design. Currently I have a clown and a unicorn and there will be more to follow. Because of the nature of how I make them each one is unique and special to me. All are handmade and have their own name. A pair would be an excellent aid in telling knock knock jokes. I hope to have them on my site for sale at the beginning of november, but I will be taking some on the road with me to Utah and will bring the survivors back to Seattle. If you would like one let me know. img_1422 And of course, I also have t-shirts for sale. img_1407

arts and crafts party-part one: t-shirts

« October 18, 2009 »

img_1381 With the help of my good friend and arts and crafts goddess, Mara Rivet, I now have t-shirts featuring the teddy bear with spider legs. img_1386  They come in a variety of colors and sizes. Especially if the color is brown and the size is large. img_1397 If the size and color don’t suit you, I also have patches that can be transplanted to whatever fancy piece of clothing you desire and still be one of the cool kids. I hope to have my shop up in November but if you would like one now let me know. img_1400

update- new page, photography

paperface-i

I added a place for photos. I am fortunate enough to know some very talented folks. Currently I have some of the work of Kyle Moseby, the multi-disciplined gentleman who designed this site, on display, but I hope to expand the galleries soon to include show posters and the work of my good friend Heather Christianson, a young lady who has taken many pictures of me throughout the years. Please enjoy.
